Rug Pad Academy
Sizing Guides
How to measure rugs, choose thickness, and handle runners, rounds, and irregular shapes.
Short answer
Sizing Guides
A rug pad should be about one inch smaller than the rug on every side, measured to the woven edge and excluding fringe. Order at the rug's finished dimensions and adjust in 2-inch increments on site if the room measures differently.
