Custom Rug Pads, Cut to Your Rug
Order at the rug's finished dimensions and the pad arrives at that size. No stock-size compromise, no cutting table, no offcuts to carry out of a client's house.
Short answer
A custom rug pad is cut to the finished dimensions of a specific rug rather than bought in a stock size and trimmed down. UnderItAll cuts every pad to order in two thicknesses and perforates the adjustable edges every 2 inches, so if the room disagrees with the rug by an inch you pull a strip by hand instead of reaching for shears. Pads are 100% post-recycled felt with a latex-free backing, cut and shipped the same or next business day from Georgia.
What custom-cut actually means
A stock pad is a compromise you install.
Rugs are woven to tolerance and rooms are built to tolerance. A 9x12 pad under a rug that measures 8'11" by 12'2" leaves you short on one side and long on the other, so somebody takes a measurement on the floor and cuts. Cutting to order removes that step at the factory rather than on install day.
- Ordered at the rug's finished dimensions, not the nearest shelf size.
- Perforated every 2 inches on the edges that can move.
- No remnants, because nothing is cut off to make it fit.
- One ordering rule across a whole schedule.

Two thicknesses
One decision, and it is a height decision.
Both pads are the same felt, the same latex-free Daisy Grip backing and the same 2-inch perforation. What separates them is how much of it sits between the rug and the floor.

Luxe Lite 1/8"
Low profile. For clearances, transitions, layering and radiant heat.
How a custom order works
Four steps, none of which involve a blade.
Measure the rug, not the room
Order at the rug's finished dimensions. If the rug has not landed yet, order to the schedule and adjust on site — that is what the perforation is for.
Pick a thickness
Luxe 1/4 inch unless something constrains height. Luxe Lite 1/8 inch for door clearances, transitions, layering and radiant heat.
Cut and shipped same day
Manufacturing and cutting happen in one Georgia operation, so a custom size carries no lead-time penalty. Most orders arrive in one to three business days.
Adjust by hand on site
Unroll, pull a 2-inch strip if the room requires it, set the rug. Nothing sharp comes out in front of a client and nothing needs vacuuming afterwards.

What it is made of
Felt, and nothing that fights a floor.
100% post-recycled felted polypropylene, polyester and nylon, pressed in Georgia. The Daisy Grip backing is latex-free, so there is nothing to harden or go tacky against a urethane finish over the years a rug sits in one place.

Answers
Custom rug pads: what the trade asks
The questions that come up before a first custom order. The full set lives on the FAQ.
What rug pad sizes are available?
Because pads are cut to order, the size is whatever your rug is. Runners, area rugs, oversized room-size rugs, and odd dimensions are all handled the same way: you provide the finished rug measurement.
What rug pad thickness should I specify?
Luxe 1/4 inch is the trade default: it adds cushion, body, and acoustic damping under most rugs. Luxe Lite 1/8 inch is for low-profile situations such as door clearance, transitions, layered rugs, and thin flatweaves.
How much smaller than the rug should a rug pad be?
The standard rule is roughly one inch smaller than the rug on each side, so the pad disappears under the rug's edge. Order at your rug's finished dimensions and the pad is cut to that convention automatically.
Can rug pads be resized during installation?
Yes. That is the point of the perforations. If the room or the rug measures differently than expected, pull along a perforation line to remove a 2-inch strip. It takes seconds per side and requires no tools.
What if I order the wrong size?
If the pad is too large, remove 2-inch strips along the perforations and it is solved on the spot. If a pad is materially undersized for the rug, contact your representative and we will make it right.
How fast do custom-cut rug pads ship?
Pads are cut and shipped the same or next business day, and typically arrive in one to three days. Because manufacturing and cutting happen in the same domestic facility, custom sizing does not add a lead-time penalty.
