How are trade rug pads different from retail rug pads?
Retail pads are made to fit a shelf: a handful of stock sizes, usually a fiber-and-rubber composite. Trade pads are made to fit a rug: cut to order, denser felt, latex free, and supported by an account that can answer a lead-time question during a client meeting.
Who qualifies for the UnderItAll trade program?
Interior designers, design firms, architects and specifiers, rug and furniture retailers, showrooms, hospitality and contract designers, and flooring professionals. Approval requires business credentials such as a resale certificate or professional registration.
Is UnderItAll trade only?
Yes. UnderItAll sells to the trade, not to homeowners. Pricing, the full size range, and account support are available to credentialed design and retail professionals who apply and are approved.
What rug pad thickness should I specify?
Luxe 1/4 inch is the trade default: it adds cushion, body, and acoustic damping under most rugs. Luxe Lite 1/8 inch is for low-profile situations such as door clearance, transitions, layered rugs, and thin flatweaves.
How fast do custom-cut rug pads ship?
Pads are cut and shipped the same or next business day, and typically arrive in one to three days. Because manufacturing and cutting happen in the same domestic facility, custom sizing does not add a lead-time penalty.
