UnderItAll

Our story

We built the pad we wished existed.

UnderItAll was founded by rug industry veterans who had spent years watching designers and installers solve the same problem with a pair of shears.

Short answer

UnderItAll is a trade-only rug pad manufacturer founded by rug industry veterans. The company holds a patent on a custom-cut rug pad with 2-inch perforated edges that eliminates on-site cutting. Pads are 100% recycled felt, latex free, and made in the USA at the company's Georgia facility.

A perforated felt pad being rolled back from under a patterned rug on a wood floor, captioned: the rug gets the credit, the pad does the work.
The pad rolls back off the floor as easily as it went down.

The rug pad was the last thing nobody had fixed.

Every part of a rug installation had been professionalized except the thing directly underneath it. Rugs were being sourced from across the world, specified months in advance, and photographed for publication — and the pad under them was still being cut with scissors on a client’s floor, or bought oversized and trimmed in a back room.

Our founders came out of the rug industry, not out of a materials company. They had watched the same twenty minutes disappear on every install, watched offcuts pile up behind showroom counters, and watched beautiful floors get marked by cheap rubber-backed pads that nobody had specified on purpose.

So we built a different system: manufacture the felt, cut every pad to order, and perforate the edges so the last two inches of adjustment can happen by hand, on site, without a tool. That perforation is our patented innovation, and it is the reason a custom pad can still be adjusted after it arrives.

We sell to the trade and only to the trade. Designers, firms, architects, showrooms, retailers, and flooring professionals get trade pricing, a representative who knows their market, and a product built around how they actually work. Manufacturing

Our pads are manufactured and cut in Georgia. Keeping manufacturing and cutting in one domestic operation is what makes a custom size ship the same or next business day instead of entering a fabrication queue somewhere else.

Materials

100% post-recycled felted fiber — polypropylene, polyester, and nylon — densified for grip and body, with no latex rubber anywhere in it. That is why the pad breathes against a finished floor, and why it does not carry the odor rubberized pads are known for.

Made in the USA

Domestic manufacturing is not a marketing line here. It is the operational reason we can cut to order at all.

The pad itself

Designer quality that’s durable and comfortable, always.

Keep it simple with two thicknesses
Luxe 1/4 inch is the trade favorite, with the density and body most rugs want. Luxe Lite 1/8 inch handles the low-profile jobs: door clearance, transitions, layering, radiant heat. Two options, one decision, no spec sheet required.
Rapid Relax for a smooth install
Rolled or folded in transit, your pad lays flat in no time. No weighting it down overnight, no fighting a curled corner while a client watches. Unroll it and it settles.
Pretty grippy, latex-free backing
Our Daisy Grip backing locks the rug to any indoor surface without the messy residue latex leaves behind. It's the prettiest, grippiest rug pad you'll never see.
100% post-recycled felted fibre
Felted from 100% post-recycled polypropylene, polyester, and nylon. Cutting to order means we're not producing remnants nobody can use. A conscious choice against latex, and a shorter story than most eco claims because it's the whole story.

Proudly made in the USA

What we believe

Three commitments we actually run on.

We promise

Truth is the foundation for everything that comes next. We tell you the lead time, the material, and the limitation before you specify us into a project.

We connect

We connect rugs to floors, and we connect the people around them: designers, showrooms, installers, and the clients who never see any of this happen.

We venture

Settling for the status quo is not our style. The perforated pad exists because somebody refused to accept that scissors were simply part of the job.

Why trade only

A closed door is a feature.

Selling to the trade rather than to homeowners lets us do things a consumer business cannot: cut every order to size, keep the range to two thicknesses, and staff an account team that can answer a lead-time question during a client meeting rather than after it.

Answers

About the company and the product

Is the perforation technology patented?

Yes. The perforated custom-cut rug pad is UnderItAll's patented innovation and is not available from conventional pad suppliers. It is the reason a pad can be both cut to order and adjustable after it arrives.

What are UnderItAll rug pads made of?

100% post-recycled felted fiber — polypropylene, polyester, and nylon — densified into a uniform pad, with a Daisy Grip pattern that holds the rug and the floor. There is no latex rubber in it anywhere, which is what keeps it breathable and free of the odor rubberized pads are known for.

Where are UnderItAll rug pads made?

They are made in the USA and manufactured in Georgia, then cut to order and shipped from the same operation. Domestic manufacturing is what makes same-day cutting and one-to-three-day delivery realistic.

Is UnderItAll trade only?

Yes. UnderItAll sells to the trade, not to homeowners. Pricing, the full size range, and account support are available to credentialed design and retail professionals who apply and are approved.

How are trade rug pads different from retail rug pads?

Retail pads are made to fit a shelf: a handful of stock sizes, usually a fiber-and-rubber composite. Trade pads are made to fit a rug: cut to order, denser felt, latex free, and supported by an account that can answer a lead-time question during a client meeting.

Why is a custom-cut pad not on a long lead time?

Conventional custom pads are cut by a third party from stock rolls, adding a handoff and a queue. UnderItAll manufactures and cuts in one Georgia operation, so a custom size is a production instruction rather than a special order.
