Why do second trips happen?

Almost always a fit problem. The rug measured differently than the schedule said, the room is out of square, or a stock pad was ordered on the assumption it could be trimmed and then could not be trimmed cleanly.

What if I order the wrong size?

If the pad is too large, remove 2-inch strips along the perforations and it is solved on the spot. If a pad is materially undersized for the rug, contact your representative and we will make it right.

Measuring, taping, and hand-cutting a felt pad to a rug typically runs twenty to forty-five minutes per rug, plus cleanup. A perforated pad needs seconds per adjusted side and no cleanup, so most teams recover the better part of a working hour on a multi-rug install.
